Susan Bennett serves as a Board Member of Grief with Hope, bringing a deep personal understanding of loss and a genuine passion for helping others. Throughout her life, Susan has experienced the profound loss of all four of her siblings, as well as the passing of her father in 2023. These experiences have shaped her understanding of grief and the importance of having compassionate people and a supportive community to turn to during times of loss.

Susan's desire to care for others is reflected in both her personal and professional life. She has dedicated many years to volunteering with various community organizations, including volunteering at a preschool before ultimately pursuing her passion for working with children as a preschool teacher. Her experiences in education and community service have strengthened her belief in the importance of kindness, patience, connection, and being present for others when they need support.

Through her involvement with Grief with Hope, Susan hopes to use her own experiences with loss to help others feel less alone in their grief. She understands that every person's journey is different and believes that having a safe and welcoming community can make a meaningful difference as individuals and families learn to navigate life after loss.

Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Susan enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is proud to contribute her compassion, life experience, and passion for helping others to the mission of Grief with Hope.
