Brendon Messina serves as a Board Member of Grief with Hope, bringing his personal experience with profound loss and a strong commitment to helping others navigate their own journeys through grief. In 2025, Brendon experienced the devastating loss of both of his parents within the same year. Facing multiple significant losses in such a short period of time gave him a deeper understanding of how complex and deeply personal the grieving process can be.

When Brendon found Grief with Hope, he appreciated discovering a space where there was no pressure or expectation to talk before he was ready. Simply being present, listening to others share their experiences, and hearing stories and emotions that closely reflected his own provided a meaningful sense of connection and understanding. His experience showed him that grief support does not always require having the right words—sometimes healing can begin by simply knowing that others understand what you are going through.

Brendon is passionate about Grief with Hope and its commitment to creating welcoming, judgment-free spaces where individuals can experience grief in their own way and at their own pace. He hopes to help ensure that others experiencing loss have access to the same sense of community, connection, and understanding that was meaningful to him.

Outside of his involvement with Grief with Hope, Brendon is passionate about helping others and giving back to his community. In his free time, he especially enjoys spending quality time with his family and creating meaningful memories with those closest to him.
